CHOM hand craft

This is an innovation produced from natural materials and eco-friendly.   CHOM bags are derived from selected water hyacinths which are tenderly soft, sun dried, cut into strips, coloured with Reed dye, and then woven by using craftsmanship into a cassette-shaped bag. This bag can be hand-held or carried on the shoulder. The bag has patterns of melon seed with natural colour and diamond-shape quadrangle.  When weaving is done, the bag is put in the sun to expel moisture then applying varnish on both the outside and the inside for durability and mold prevention - a finishing touch which makes bags from water hyacinth exquisite.
