Bio cellulose bandage with Cladophora spp. algae

This wound dressing is made from bio-cellulose mixed with Spirogyra neglecta algae extracted by water with a creamy white colour, woven together into a three-dimensional network.  As the algae added, it becomes less porous being able to absorb more fluids, having high strength and flexibility. The algae extract possesses properties that inhibit the growth of both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, reducing the production of TNF-alpha (TNF-a) inflammatory mediators of the macrophages stimulated by Lipopolysaccharide. It is not toxic to human skin cells and therefore safe to use.
