Assessing the condition of ancient sites using 3D object scanning technology

This 3D object scanner rotates itself 360 degrees and when an object is found will reflect back as dots to form 3D coordinate data group. The data that obtained is equivalent to real size and being highly accurate in terms of height, width, thickness of the inside and outside of the pagoda for evaluation. It also collects samples of ancient masonry to be tested in the laboratory of the Department of Civil Engineering. It can tell if the archaeological site is tilted at a stable angle or not, to render a guideline for evaluating and restoring ancient sites.
