Reducing Educational Inequality with Innovation in Online Blended Learning

The severe outbreak of COVID-19 has affected the way people live and has changed it like never before especially for students who must change from classroom learning to online learning. Thailand’s education system has long been plagued continuously with quality and equality problems. With the pandemic, this has further affected more students who do not have access to quality education which is an important foundation of life.

From The Crisis Led to Innovative Thinking in Online Blended Learning

Such problems have inspired Learn Education Company Limited which believes that teachers are important people in every student’s learning; technology is only a tool to support teachers not a replacement. In order to provide quality education to students in all areas, it has developed an Online Blended Learning Solution with the aim to provide a better learning system for students and schools even in remote areas. During the pandemic, this solution has already been used to support learning in more than 300 schools covering 50 provinces in all regions. More than 100,000 students countrywide have utilized this platform for learning. They can study as if they are in private school. Another highlight of the platform is that students can take a test at the end of the lesson immediately. Teachers can also review the usage of the platform of the students and adjust the course accordingly. There are academic staffs available to answer students’ questions 24-hour a day. And there is a “Virtual Classroom” system where teachers can interact with students as well. It can be considered that this innovation was developed to support the teachers and help students to learn.
